This solar charger is worth the money in almost all aspects. It does exactly as billed. I used this regularly while I was in track and it helped keep my phone charged through the day and even made everyone else envious as they had chargers that would run out of juice. It takes a while to charge off solar and only charges to 50% unless you get the extra pad, that is the only down side. Other than the slow charging itself this product is great.

An inexpensive rechargable battery with a form factor that fits well next to my phone. The solar charging is a nice feature but not even close to a replacement for wall-based charging; it claims to be able to achieve 50% charge under optimal circumstances, and the readout shows 50% when I've left it in the window at work, but typically a solar charge recharges my phone by much less that half of what I'd get if I'd left this device plugged in.

Was under the sun half the time and it only gave my phone 2% extra battery life.

Great item for the times you are out back.

Took a whole day, in bright sunlight, to get enough power to charge my phone 25%.
